SYLVIA PALMER
ZETLER National Ballet of Canada, Fellow and Examiner, Cecchetti USA &
C.I.C.B.
Ms Palmer performed for many
years with the National Ballet of Canada, CBC TV, and the Canadian Opera
Company. Her training was with Kay Armstrong in Vancouver, B.C., the
National Ballet School in Toronto, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and
many of the foremost European teachers in London and Paris. Her formal
education culminated with an M.F.A. Degree in Creative Teaching Techniques
under the direction of Erling Sunde and John Hart, CBE, both of the Royal
Ballet, England. Sylvia holds the degree of Fellow with Cecchetti USA and
CICB and is an Examiner for CUSA. She has been the recipient of two Canada
Council of the Arts grants for the furtherance of the dance arts. Her
students grace the stages of many companies in the U.S. and Great Britain. |

WENDY CORMIER,
MFA
Ms Cormier earned her MFA in Ballet and Character Dance from The University
of Utah. She has taught in Hawaii, Utah, and Georgia. She is recipient of
the California State PTA Honorary Service and Continuing Service Awards for her
work with children. |

CLAUDIA
DYSON-HIGHTOWER
Claudia credits her artistic energy to her
six major mentors: Johnson, Vivian Valade, Day Power, Eileen Figliolino,
Louis McKay and Bill Heiden. She's continually performing, choreographing
and teaching both nationally and internationally, and taking dance class
herself. (Heaven forbid if she ever became a Dance Droid Stiffo.) She is
certified in her profession and teaches ages 3-73. Her students can be seen
on Broadway, on TV and in the movies. |

KIRSTEN HEINRICH
Kirsten has worked with several dance
companies across the U.S., including Tennessee Dance Theatre, Philadanco II,
San Diego Ballet, and San Diego Opera. Currently she performs with an
international touring company "2nd Nature Porductions/The Loving Garden," as
a stilt dancer. Kirsten has taught modern and classical ballet throughout
the country to gymnasts, ice skaters and dancers of all different levels and
abilities, including San Diego Ballet and City Ballet of San Diego. She has
also choreographed many pieces in San Diego ... even winning "Best
Choreography 2008" for Hollywood's Best New Talent. For this, she was
invited to dance with her dancers at the Kodak Theater.

JULIA HILLEARY
Ms. Hilleary
made her professional debut as a child with Fredrick Franklyn’s National
Ballet and is an Alumni of George Balanchine’s School of American Ballet.
She has been a featured ballerina in two national television commercials,
and danced with the Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Stuttgart
Ballets. Julia has choreographed, directed and taught Children’s Programs
for the Beverley Hills Ballet Petit, Los Angeles City Hearts, Westside
Ballet, Marlborough School, Pacific Repertory Ballet, and Palomar College,
and is a Certified Instructor of the Authentic Pilates Method.

STEPHANIE
KIM
Stephanie Kim began studying
dance in her native counry of Korea at the age of five. She has performed
featured roles in Southern California Ballet's productions of Cinderella,
Nutcracker, Midsummer Night's Dream and Coppelia. She received a full
scholarship to attend Houston Ballet's Summer program, Marin Dance Theatre
Summer School, and Boston Ballet's Summer Session. Recently she has been
accepted into "Korea Art University" for a degree in choreography.
Stephanie has done all of her Advanced Cecchetti exams and received her
Teacher's Certification Awarded with Distinction. Soon she will be
attending the university in Korea. |

MARY KATE
O'SULLIVAN
Mary Kate represented Team USA in the
Cecchetti International Competition in Calgary where she won the prestigious
award for Musicality and Dynamics in Movement. She has completed all of the
Cecchetti Advanced Examinations at age 15. She has her Teaching
Certification from CUSA.

Aileen represented
Team USA in the Cecchetti International Competition in Calgary, Canada.
and did very well. She completed all of her Cecchetti Advanced Examinations
at age 15. She has her Teaching Certification from CUSA. |

NANCY
ROBINSON
Nancy Robinson studied ballet
in Los Angeles with Robert Rossellat, a student of Preobrajenska and
Espinosa in Paris. At the age of fifteen she received a Ford Foundation
Scholarship to San Francisco Ballet School and was accepted into San
Francisco Ballet Company the following year.
Ms. Robinson danced as a soloist there for
seven years, then as Principal dancer with the City Center Joffrey Ballet
Company, which made her an internationally acclaimed ballerina. She has
toured Vienna, London, and several major United States cities. During her
career, she danced in principal roles such as Astarte Pas de Deesses (Joffrey),
Moves and Interplay (Robbins), Time Cycle (Bolender) several works by Arpino,
Nutcracker-Sugar Plum Fairy (Christensen), and other works by Fokine and
Ailey. Later she was Ballet Mistress at Pacific Northwest Ballet Company and
The Los Angeles Ballet.

ANDREA ROSE
Ms Rose is a member of
Southern California Youth Ballet and teaches Choreography and Tap at BMDC.
She is presently studying at Palomar College and has been awarded as a
California State Scholar.

KIRSTEN THORNE
Ms.Thorne began her training in South Africa at the age of 4. he has been
dancing and training with
BMDC
for 9 years and holds a Cecchetti Advanced 2 diploma. She has performed many
roles with
Southern California Youth Ballet, her
lead roles include Snow Queen and lead Chinese in "The Nutcracker", Blessing of the Bell in Coppelia,
and soloist in Paquita. She is pursuing her therapist degree at Nazarene
College in Point Loma. Kirsten also dances for San Diego Ballet. |

SUZAN STONE, formerly, San
Diego Ballet, BFA
Ms. Stone teaches ballet and Introduction to Dance classes at the
Black
Mountain Dance Centre. She has a BFA in
ballet under the tutelage of Erling Sunde at USIU. She was a soloist with San
Diego Ballet and created the role of Cinderella in Mr. Sunde's ballet. She has
special skills with working with the very young ambitious students, and has
taken them successfully into Cecchetti Standard exams. |

VANESSA TIPON
Ms. Tipon began her formal dance training at
Black Mountain Dance Centre at the age of five. She performed in
various roles with
Southern California Youth Ballet
including, Clara, Sugar Plum, Cheshire Cat and many others. Vanessa then
attended UC Irvine and earned a BA in Dance with a minor in History. She has
performed with various companies throughout California such as the Welk
Resort Theater, Fullerton Civic Light Opera, Malashock Dance & Company,
Powerhouse Production, Opera Pacific and San Diego Opera. She has also
worked with prominent choreographers Donald McKayle, John Malashock, Sean
Greene, Desiree Robbins and James Penrod. Vanessa loves teaching dance and
enjoys working with the students at BMDC. |
